Case Study: UFS
UFS is a UK based trade union specialising in the latest employment information and advice. As employment law experts, UFS aim is to protect and advance the employment rights of UFS members and improve relations within the workplace.
This project has been done as a complete bespoke development based on UFS requirements and specifications to support the 5000 members of the union.
The UFS web site allows 3 levels of access for visitors:
- public access
- member's access
- Reps access
The web site database includes Information for Members and Reps, Members/Reps database, Questions/answers, News, etc.
Content Management System (CMS)
CMS has intuitive interface and allows to maintain the web site content by the administrative personal without special technical knowledge. CMS provides shared access to allow several editors to work with content in the same time. Some additional features such as Survey Manager, Newsletter Manager, Custom Statistics make the web site management convenient for UFS day to day maintenance.
Online Survey Manager
Integrated Online Survey Manager allows to setup a survey, send it according the mail list. It takes only few minutes for Member to answer all survey questions by checking the radio buttons and send the survey back. The Survey Manager collects the results and shows the answers statistics.
Newsletters
Newsletter Admin with advanced functionality allows to manage the newsletter subscription and delivery. It keeps an archive of all previously sent Newsletters. Flexible mail list management allows to send the newsletter to selected subscribers/members/reps groups.
Secure Server
Web site content is distributed on HTTP and HTTPS servers. All UFS private information and Members personal information are accessible via HTTPS server to provide the proper level of security.
